Our Architectural Assemblages are not a sculpture, diorama or collage, but contain elements of all these art forms. Some pieces are mixed media, predominantly wood. They are created to reflect a beloved place in your life, either real or imagined. The building styles and decorations are the main theme – hence, architectural assemblages. While scale is not a primary goal, it is loosely followed throughout. The works possess a whimsical flavor presented with an aura of nostalgia. The signs and marquee focus on lifestyle, hobbies, interests and business – yours, your family’s and friends’. The pieces usually have a nautical flavor, but can represent any geographical location, such as your summer home, hometown, honeymoon, etc. based on a photograph, magazine picture or oral description. Total fantasies, such as castles or a mystical flavor are also popular. A color scheme compatible with your décor may be established and followed throughout. The theme can be frivolous, humorous, serious, or ribald. Our Architectural Assemblages make great gifts to celebrate a holiday or special occasion.

Our studio in Jensen Beach creates decorative and functional pieces that range from mailboxes to beds, beautiful wall hangings for your home, business or pool and patio area. They reflect a wide variety of tastes, interests and the natural woods.

Our novelty plant stands range from whimsical to elegant. Cabinets and cocktail carts of your design or ours. Add breadboxes, serving ensembles, lamps, and unique paintings to complete any room in your home. Our furnishings include night stands to dining room tables.

For your lawn and garden we will design mailboxes, planters, lighthouses (large or small), and wind chimes.

No silk screening, patterns, etc. are used. All work is done by hand by us. We rework old furniture to a point of heirloom quality. Each piece is to be enjoyed and displayed with pride for years to come. We often incorporate antiques, miniatures, and natural materials into the designs.

The pieces are made from any possible combination of various woods, from common to exotic. Accents of brass, glass, decorative hinges and hardware, combined with the use of stains and finishes, produce unique qualities that result in a truly one-of-a-kind design.

Some work is largely recycled materials. Hues, dyes, and finishes are of water based, non-toxic and odor-free compounds as much as possible. Such materials are often more costly and harder to obtain, but make a lot of sense in this day and age.

Finishes are used as each piece requires. Hand rubbed oil for furniture, water based poly, epoxy resins, and specialty varnishes are used depending on exposure and location. It is, first and foremost, artwork, and no guarantee is issued or implied. The quality is of utmost importance and safety, longevity, practicality, and use are all considered. One goal we also strive to achieve is value. The work is meant to be affordable to all, and every piece, large or small, incorporates this standard.

We value our patrons and the many fine shops that feature our work. Custom work is welcome. We will create whatever you dream up! Our work is displayed in many stores, at various art and craft festivals and by appointment at our studio. We are registered with the Martin County council of the Arts and State of Florida Department of Cultural Affairs.
